Fasting Routine

The following details include my daily routine for both food intake and fasting routine. Please note to consult with your medical professional before starting any diet change. Especially a Keto-based diet.

Intermittent Fasting Details

The intermittent fasting pattern that I follow is the 16:8 fast. Within the 24 hour day, I fast for 16 hours, afterwards I’d eat 2 square meals within the remaining 8 hours, while snacking in-between sometimes.

Fasting not only helped me burn fat, but also assisted to control my blood sugar levels, long-term memory, and stimulate Autophagy (Dr. Burg)

  • 12pm: eating window begins
    • First intake in food normally a soft, high-fat, berry smoothie. The smoothie contains hemp seeds, chia seeds, ginger root, turmeric root, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, and MCT oil
    • Keeping Gut Health in mind, the first introduction of food in the stomach is imperative. Regardless of either a green or berry juice, there are a couple items that remains consistent.
      • Turmeric root
      • Ginger root
  • 8pm: eating window ends and fasting window begins
    • During the fasting window, the following exceptions can be made
      • black coffee
      • water
      • green tea
