Choosing to be on the keto diet for me was not for weight loss mainly, clearer skin, or just say “yeah I’m on that keto journey”. Going on the diet was for health reasons and to get back to being in a healthier state than I was in.
Due to over indulging in processed, junk, and gluten I was not aware of the damage that I was doing to myself. I was getting sicker and sicker every passing month. Feeling things that I did not know what it was. Then finally when I had had enough of the symptoms and actually listening to my friends and family, I went to see a doctor.
After examinations, appointments, and all, I had finally gotten an answer of what I had. Doing research, reading, and watching videos of related stories my sister helped me to go on the keto diet.
Since being on the diet it has not only made the symptoms go away (for the most part) but I feel so much better throughout the day! I can honestly say that if given the choice to going back to what I was eating in the past, I would not.
This post may not mean much to the reader…but for me it is a way of expressing my current thoughts and gratefulness to what I have and not what I do not. Just being able to wake up in the morning and walk around is honestly that first sign that it is going to be a good day.
