Grain-free Hemp Seed Porridge

The inspiration for the meal is given by Leanne Vogel The Keto Diet

Ingredients include the following:

  • 2 tablespoons: coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup: hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon: chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon: ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup: coconut milk
  • 1/8 cup: coconut flour
  • to liking: nuts / berries
  1. Mix all ingredients (except coconut flour) into a small sauce pan on low heat to let come to a light boil.
  2. Place cooked ingredients into a small bowl with coconut flour and mix well
  3. Add toppings to liking and enjoy!

Brussels Sprouts Bacon Cabob

Who said that eating your greens had to be boring? Why not incorporate one of your favorite foods (i.e. bacon) into your meal in a creative way. Create that cabob to your liking and even add your own mix to it 🙂

The chicken itself was seasoned with simple ingredients like sea salt, ground back pepper, and even orange juice to give it extra kick. By grilling the veggies first then followed with the chicken, it will give you and your family that good backyard summer grilled food experience 😀

Keto Journal Log

Choosing to be on the keto diet for me was not for weight loss mainly, clearer skin, or just say “yeah I’m on that keto journey”. Going on the diet was for health reasons and to get back to being in a healthier state than I was in.

Due to over indulging in processed, junk, and gluten I was not aware of the damage that I was doing to myself. I was getting sicker and sicker every passing month. Feeling things that I did not know what it was. Then finally when I had had enough of the symptoms and actually listening to my friends and family, I went to see a doctor.

After examinations, appointments, and all, I had finally gotten an answer of what I had. Doing research, reading, and watching videos of related stories my sister helped me to go on the keto diet.

Since being on the diet it has not only made the symptoms go away (for the most part) but I feel so much better throughout the day! I can honestly say that if given the choice to going back to what I was eating in the past, I would not.

This post may not mean much to the reader…but for me it is a way of expressing my current thoughts and gratefulness to what I have and not what I do not. Just being able to wake up in the morning and walk around is honestly that first sign that it is going to be a good day.

Hemp Seed Porridge

Keto Pizza

Gluten and Dairy Free Keto Pizza

Ingredients

  • Main Crust
    • sea salt – 1 tsp
    • olive oil – 2 tbps
    • Italian seasoning – 1 tsp
    • coconut flour – 3 tbps
    • eggs – 2
    • cauliflower – 1/2 head
  • Toppings
    • bacon
    • gluten-free cheese
    • sliced mushrooms
    • red onions
    • cherry tomatoes

Though it may look like a pizza that was delivered or purchased at a restaurant, the truth is that it was made with all natural ingredients. From dairy, gluten, and soy free cheese to using blended cauliflower as the crust. This was one of the best meals that I have ever had that I can say was nearly 100% organic.

It is little things like this that show that there is always a workaround when trying to achieve a goal. Though life may hand you a set of cards that will make things seem impossible, know that there is always a way to get to where you want to go in life.

It is easier said than done, but NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR GOALS. Don’t ever think to yourself that you can’t do something. Believe in yourself and know that:
